Glorious Ladies Christian Fellowship International - GLCFI
Glorious Ladies Christian Fellowship International (GLCFI) is a multi-cultural women ministry which began on the 17th of September 2011. The ministry was founded by Princess Glory Amayanvbo, a Teacher, inspirational speaker and Mother, as she obeyed the urging of the Lord to begin a ministry to help women and their families all over the world to discover their God-given destinies and to walk in the fullness of the blessings of God in every area of their lives.
Princess Glory Amayanvbo, the Teaching/Prayer Leader of GLCFI had a desire to know and share Jesus Christ and His Word with other women. In September 2011, invited four friends into her home, and over coffee, they opened their Bibles and began reading, praying together and sharing what the Holy Spirit put on their hearts to share.
As a Prayer/Bible study fellowship dedicated to glorifying God by bringing women into a more intimate relationship with Jesus as Lord and Saviour through the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, prayer and praise, meditation, scripture study and loving fellowship. Our meetings were held on the third Thursday of every month. The Monthly meetings usually began with praise and worship in songs, orientation of new members, small group sharing of the bible lessons, and sharing of testimonies in answers to prayers.
GLCFI members belong to different denominations and churches yet, God has given us the spirit of unity. We enjoy lively fellowship with one another and move together to reach the destiny that the Lord has set before us. We desire to see women experiencing the presence of God in our meetings and witnessing His power in their lives.
GLCFI seeks to carry out the Great Commission, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Mark 16:15 (NLT). We desire to obey Christ command to “Feed my lambs, tend my sheep” John 21:15-16. Through the establishment of GLCFI we have embraced this scripture;”The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me. He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the lowly, to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to the prisoners.” Is: 61:1-2. We receive and employ the gifts of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 12.
Our aims to see the following accomplished in lives of members:
- to observe and support women develop in confidence
- for each one to know her place in the body
- to assist and support one another to move into their God-given ministry
- to benefit from fellowship and promote unity across denominations
- to be built up and equipped to reach out to a needy world
- to set aside time to sit at Jesus' feet
