Prayer Counselling

GLCFI Prayer Counselling

The Prayer Counselling Ministry has pastoral counsellors available to meet with GLCFI members and non members who are dealing with personal or family life challenges. The Prayer Counselling Team is dedicated to providing a compassionate listening ear and sound Biblical advice. Our Prayer Counselling Ministry recognize the importance of ministering to individuals on a one-on-one basis. As written in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone.."

What is Prayer Counselling?

  • Prayer counselling is confidential, Bible-based counselling by one trained and experienced in both prayer and counselling ministry.

  • Prayer counselling is not designed to treat severe mental illness. We do not perform psychiatric or psychological evaluations, nor prescribe medication.

  • The Prayer counselor uses prayer and scripture to welcome God's presence into the healing process.

  • A typical counselling session lasts one hour. After the first meeting, the counselor will make recommendations for follow-up appointments and participation in other support ministries at GLCFI.

  • Because Prayer counselling is only one part of the overall ministry to individuals and families GLCFI, counselees are encouraged to participate in activities organised by GLCFI in order to achieve the maximum benefit from prayer counselling.
