Prayers

The Salvation Prayer
The Salvation Prayer (sometimes referred to as the Sinner's Prayer) below is a sample prayer to follow when asking Jesus into your heart. You can pray to God in your own words. The basis of the Sinner's Prayer comes from Romans 10:9-10. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

TheSALVATIONPrayer

My Father in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I am very sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; please father forgive me all my sins, I need your forgiveness.

I believe that Jesus is your only begotten Son and he shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for all my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Saviour and according to His Word, right now I am saved.Thank you Jesus for saving me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

Serve the LORD with gladness:
come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the LORD he is God:
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the LORD is good;
his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations
Psalm 111 - New Life Version (NLV)

The Lord Be Praised
111 Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart where those who are right with God gather together and in the meeting of the people. 2 The works of the Lord are great. All who find joy in them try to understand them. 3 His work is great and powerful. And He is right and good forever. 4 He has made His great works to be remembered. The Lord shows loving-favour and pity. 5 He gives food to those who fear Him. He will remember His agreement forever. 6 He has shown His people the power of His works by giving them the land of other nations.
7 The works of His hands are faithful and right. All His Laws are true. 8 They stand strong forever and ever. They are done by what is true and right. 9 He has made a way for His people to be free. He has set up His agreement forever. His holy name is to be honoured with fear. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. All who obey His Laws have good understanding. His praise lasts forever

Prayers by Singles for future husband

1. Pray for his walk with God, that he continues to grow spiritually and is prepped to be the spiritual head of a household, and that he makes God the top priority in his life.
2. Pray for his ability to hear God’s voice, for his ear to be in tune to hear all of God’s instructions.
3. Pray for his will to be bendable toward whatever God wants for his life.
4. Pray for his emotional health—that any past wounds be dealt with and healed. Pray for restoration in all areas.
5. Pray for his physical health.
6. Pray that he break free of any unhealthy addictions, if needed.
7. Pray for his career, his life’s work, that he be established in the field where God wants to use him and that he be wise with his resources.
8. Pray for his ministry—that he be sensitive to God’s call on his life when it comes to ministering to and serving others. Also, pray for God to prepare both of you for the ways you will minister together.
9. Pray for his preparation—that he yields to all that God’s potter’s hands would like to accomplish in him.
10. Pray for God to send any trials necessary into his life that will allow the preparation process to be complete. I realize that may be a bit controversial. Knowing how much God has accomplished in my life through trials, I would expect nothing less of my husband’s journey toward me.
11. Pray for God to prepare him to be a father, if the two of you will ultimately raise a family together.
12. Pray for God to help him be responsible with his finances and prepare him to be a significant contributor and provider to the household.
13. Pray for his identity as a man, his masculinity and self-esteem, which he grows into the man God wants him to be.
14. Pray for him to not be distracted by any counterfeits—especially other women that God doesn’t intend to use for his growth.

15. Pray for God to allow this man to see you the way God wants you to be seen, with God’s heart toward you.
16. Pray for God to show you how to pray for your husband. Be open to whatever His Spirit may whisper to you, to cover your husband’s needs. If you feel God gives you something specific, write it down and date it. Save it for later.

GLCFI hope that praying these prayers will encourage you in your waiting, and help you feel that you are accomplishing much in the spiritual realm. I pray you will wait on God’s best. These prayer points are excerpted from Chapter 10 of the book, Finally the Bride: Finding Hope While Waiting.

To Confess Over Your Children

Proverbs 18:21 says, The tongue has the power of life and death. As parents, you have the power to speak life or death to your children and over your children. When you choose to speak the Word of God over your children, you are choosing to speak life over them. Jesus said in John 6:63, The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. The following are scriptural confessions that you can speak over your children – and as Isaiah 55:11 says – these words will not return to your empty, but will accomplish and achieve the purpose for which they are sent.
Exodus 20:12 I thank You Father, that my children honor and obey me, therefore, they please the Lord and will live a long life. (Also found in Colossians 3:20 and Ephesians 6:2.)

Psalm 112:2 My children are blessed and will be mighty in the land.

Psalm 127:3 My children are a reward and gift from the Lord, and I will enjoy them.

Psalm 138:8 My children will fulfil God’s will and purpose for their lives.

I Timothy 4:12 My children are examples to others in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.
Daniel 1:4 My children are children in whom there is no blemish, but they are well favoured. They are skilful in wisdom, cunning in knowledge, and understand science. They have the ability to stand in the King’s palace and teach others.

Romans 12:2 My children are not being conformed to this world’s system, but they are constantly being transformed by the renewing of their mind, that they might know what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God for their lives.

I Corinthians 6:18-19 My children will flee from all sexual immorality and impurity in thought, word or deed, and they will realize that their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
